Runtime Developer Toolbar in Oracle Apex - Javainhand Tutorial

        

Hello Friends,

This topic is basically for beginners and intermediate levels. Because most of the time, new beginners do not know what is Runtime Developer Toolbar and what is used.

When you run an application from the app builder. This Toolbar only displays for users with developers or Administrator Privileges. Below and the above screenshot will help you out.

1.Home:-When you click on Home Link then it will return you to in your Application Express Home. The below screenshot will help you.

2.Application:-When you click on the Application(Page No) link then it is returned to the application home page. The below screenshot will help you.

3. Edit Page:-When you click on the Edit Page(Page No) Link then it is returned to the same page number. The below screenshot will help you.

4. Session:-When you click on the session link it shows current page session information. The below screenshot will help you.

5. View Debug:- When you click on View Debug link then it displays debug reports. The below screenshot will help you.

6. Debug:-If you can not debug your page then View Debug not display Debug Report. It is a toggle link if you click debug link then it shows no debug text.

7.Page Info:-

1. Show Layout Columns toggles between Show Layout Columns and Hide Layout Columns. This option only applies if a layout is used and that layout supports showing layout columns and the page has more than one column.
2. Show Page Timing displays the Page Performance Timing dialog. Click Copy to copy the data in table form and then paste it into another application. Click Clear to remove the current timing events.

8.Quick Edit:-Click Quick Edit and then select the desired component to instantly access the component in Page Designer.

9.Theme Roller:- Theme Roller enables developers to easily customize the appearance of an application by selecting colors from the color picker and setting values. The below screenshot will help you.

10. Developer Tool Options:-Clicking Developer Toolbar Options to customize how the Runtime Developer Toolbar displays. There are different options like auto-hide, shows icons only, Display Positions and New option added in the latest version default Debug Level.

11. Javascript Error Detection:- If the page has javascript errors then red error button display. It is not in the 5.1 version.
